This seasonal job with the National Park Service involves basic upkeep and fixes for outdoor areas, buildings, and facilities in a North Dakota park, like repairing picnic tables, cleaning restrooms, and moving supplies.

Performs simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, and other related trades.
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc.
(includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments SCREEN OUT - Minimum Qualifications: Perform simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, and other related trades.
Used simple measures and hand tools to replace broken planks on picnic tables; broken windows using precut stock; minor adjustments or replaces hinges, latches, and catches.
I have used a brush and roller on projects where appearances are not critical such as staining picnic tables and trash barrels.
Performed routine maintenance on campground sites and trails using hand tools to re-grade and reset barriers to restore areas to original appearances.
Operated a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites. Cleaned and serviced chemical toilets, restrooms, and other campground or visitor facilities.
Work has been under close supervision and referred unusual problems to the supervisor or a higher graded employee.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
Performs simple and routine maintenance and repair of trails, grounds, exterior structures, buildings, equipment and related utilities. Performs minor carpentry repairs, painting, and plumbing duties.
Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on campground sites, trails, and restroom facilities. Assists higher graded maintenance workers or tradesmen in the performance of their work.
Receives, unloads and processes incoming shipments according to established procedures.
Operates a light truck, ATV, UTV or other vehicles to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites.
Operates a forklift to load and unload supplies and light equipment not requiring special rigging.
Cut-off Dates: This is an open continuous announcement, in which applications are collected over several months, and have multiple cut-off dates.
