The typical seasonal period for these positions is April - October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 2026.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc.

(other than blueprints) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Dexterity and Safety Work Practices (including keeping things neat, clean, and in order) Screen Out Element: Must be able to perform common laboring duties including operating power equipment, such as lawn mowers and a variety of types of common hand tools and light power tools (such as shovels, rakes, lawn edging equipment, circular saws, electric drills, etc.), to maintain buildings, grounds, roads, and trails.

I am also skilled in the operation of light duty motor vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

Perform janitorial duties; grounds and trails maintenance; and perform minor repairs to buildings, structures, and equipment.

I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

Operate heavy power equipment such as lawn mowers, portable snow blowers, and all types of hand tools (such as shovels, rakes, lawn edging equipment, etc.,;) to maintain buildings, grounds, roads, and trails, etc.

Load and unload supplies and material from trucks, trailers, dollie, etc.

Dig ditches and trenches with pick and shovel where soil is hard and compact and must grade or slope; occasionally breaks up pavement, soil, or concrete; mixes and pours concrete, asphalt, and hot/cold mix; fills and levels holes in damaged roads.

Move heavily loaded wheelbarrows and hand trucks; utilize heavy type power mowers including adjusting, cleaning, and oiling blades.
