To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).
This experience includes activities such as: accessioning, arranging, preserving, and providing reference services for and disposition of archival and manuscript collections; cataloging and indexing a large variety of archival materials; ensuring proper maintenance, storage, control, and record management of materials.
You must include hours per week worked.
-OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least one full year of graduate study in a directly related field (one year of graduate education is 18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours).
You must include a copy of your transcripts. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of the education and experience described above.
For example: 6 months of specialized experience as described above (50% of experience requirement) may be combined with one-half year (9 semester hours) of graduate level college study (50% of education requirement).

-OR- Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement in a course of study that directly reflects the job-related KSAs/competencies necessary to satisfy the minimum qualifications and perform the duties of the position.

Process and catalog archival collections Digitize and make available to the public archival documents, historic photography, and other rare and/or fragile materials Perform basic arrangement and description of archival collections, conducts condition assessment, and performs basic preservation actions.
Write descriptions, develop metadata, and catalog materials in the National Park Service Interior Collection Management System (ICMS) and local bibliographic utilities.
Participate in outreach activities to highlight project and promote awareness of and use of collection materials.
NOTE: In support of Executive Order (EO) 14189 "Celebrating America's 205th Birthday" and EO 14314 "Making America Beautiful Again by Improving our National Parks" the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has approved an exception to the 1039 hour time limitation for this position.
This approval extends the time limitation to 1560 hours for this temporary seasonal appointment.
