Full Job Description

You will serve as a SCIENTIST in the ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NIWC ATLANTIC.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or ND-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience in cybersecurity, including complex technical issues, programmatic requirements, and leadership in Cybersecurity Management.

The role demands advanced skills in design, assessment/audit, system hardening, risk analysis, mitigation, process improvement, and guidance in the development of cybersecurity guidelines and processes.

  • You will be a cybersecurity lead for major ACAT I-III like programs.

  • You will lead consensus building among stakeholders with diverse and often conflicting interests.
  • You will apply advanced knowledge, experience, and expertise in the Cybersecurity discipline.
  • You will provide expert guidance and assist in development of Cybersecurity guidelines and processes.
  • You will have influence in evaluation and selection in standardized Cyber tools to be utilized throughout the competency.
