Are you an experienced professional looking for new opportunities to further your career? The South Carolina Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe is seeking a hardworking and dependable candidate just like you to apply! Responsibilities of the School and Community Academic Resource Coordinator (Internal):
220-day agreement

To identify the necessary resources, procure them and integrate them into the educational environment. To provide support to all the departments to help carry out the mission and vision of the agency. The employee needs to have teaching experience or experience working with high school students, domestic and international travel experience, and social media experience. Agricultural experience is a plus. Media center/library experience is a plus. Must be able to effectively communicate with others both written and verbally. The employee will work under limited supervision under the principal. Must be able to use tact in stressful situations and have a positive attitude when working with others. Must have effective communication skills both written and verbal, and be able to work with students, faculty/staff, community members, and all stakeholders.
  • Instruction & Student Programming: Teaches assigned classes; sponsors a nationally recognized student club or organization; plans and attends local, state, and international student trips; and collaborates with other departments to coordinate campus field trips and support summer camp programming.
  • Resource & Inventory Management: Collaborates with teachers and staff to identify required instructional resources; develops and maintains resource databases and inventories; coordinates the distribution of resources; assesses resource effectiveness: conduct needs assessments: and stays current on emerging educational tools and trends.
  • Professional Learning & Training: Plans, schedules. and facilitates training sessions, educational meetings, and staff development on the use of new resources, tools, and instructional practices.
  • Community & Partnerships: Builds and maintains partnerships with local support agencies; develops workshops for the local community; and represents the school in community-based educational initiatives.
  • Communications & Outreach: Uses social media platforms to build the school's presence, promote educational programs, share resources, and enhance community engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and valid driver's license
Additional Requirements:
  • Position may require overnight travel.
  • Position may require the employee to work evenings and weekends.
  • Position requires routine driver duties.
  • Position requires frequent stooping and/or bending.
  • Position requires frequent lifting: 30 lbs.
  • Position requires essential declaration.
  • Position may be required to report to work during emergency situations.
  • Some weekends and evening hours may be required.
  • Domestic and International travel with students and stakeholders is required for this role.
  • Weeks may exceed 37.5 hours depending on travel, student events, and agency events.
  • Driving a state vehicle is required.
