South Carolina Centers for the Re-Education and Advancement of Teachers in Special Education and Related Services Personnel (SC-CREATE) is a recruitment and retention initiative funded through the Office of Special Education Services.
Through SC-CREATE, the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) seeks to grow a highly qualified and appropriately credentialed special education teacher and related service provider workforce in South Carolina K-12 public schools.
Under limited supervision, the SC-CREATE Program Coordinator is solely responsible for the implementation of the program, including management of all administrative tasks and procedures, collaboration with institutions of higher education (IHEs), contract and budget management, data analysis, and reporting.
This position also includes participation on internal and external teams focusing on recruitment and retention.
