This job is for a sales clerk at a golf course on a U.S. Air Force base in Germany, where you'll sell golf gear, sporting goods, and other items to customers, handle payments, and keep the store tidy.

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Woodlawn Golf Course in Ramstein Air Base, Germany. This position is ineligible for Logistical Support.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform over-the counter selling a variety of merchandise at Woodlawn Golf Course. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

US Resident Aliens must possess a valid, Permanent Resident Card (Green Card), a social security number, and be a citizen of a NATO country.
Citizens of Germany (including dual citizenship if Germany is one of the countries) as well as "ordinarily resident" US citizens are not eligible for NAF employment per SOFA agreement.
Must be able to provide documentation proving legal residence status overseas.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Experience in clerical, office, cash handling or retail sales store work of any kind which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.
Experience must demonstrate knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems used when receiving payment from customers, and the ability to operate a cash register.
Ability to read, speak, and write English and possess skill in dealing with the public. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Performs over-the-counter selling of a variety of merchandise which may include but is not limited to the following golfing equipment, sporting goods, electronics, novelty gifts, and other miscellaneous items.
Explains use of various products, answers questions concerning various aspects of products, and assists patrons in fitting wearing apparel. Records sales, makes change, and wraps or bags merchandise.
Prices merchandise according to pricing guides, replenishes stock as required, and assists with inventories.
Assists customers in the selection of golfing equipment by answering their questions and recommending selection of golf equipment suitable to their needs Performs housekeeping duties in sales and storage areas.
