Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following Specialized Experience: The ability to apply safety and occupational health laws, regulations, principles, theories, practices, and procedures to advise on or resolve technical matters dealing with occupational safety and health requirements.
- Experience in administering and executing program requirements for one of more of the following special programs; Hearing Conservation, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Lead and Asbestos, Confined Spaces, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, Mishaps and Investigations, Radiation, Laser, and Ergonomics.
- The ability to analyze and evaluate the safety programs of installation/tenant organizations aboard the base and advise and provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of their programs.
- The ability to perform periodic and unannounced/spot inspections to determine compliance with applicable occupational safety and health laws and regulations, to include identify, document, and track program deficiencies until abated.
-The ability to provide technical safety training to safety representatives and base personnel, to include promotion of safety via presentations (e.g., safety stands downs, conferences, meetings, etc.) and production, publishing, and disseminationation of safety information to increase awareness.
The ability to analyze identified hazards, mishaps, mishap trends, leading, and lagging indicators in order to create relevant status briefs and reports with statistical data and charts to convey program performance, gaps and weaknesses, and status to leadership.
