Requirements

As a Residential Services Aide, you will provide support and service for individuals living in residential units at Ebensburg Center.

You will assist program areas with workshops and help monitor treatment and training.

You will also address self-care, socialization, and health maintenance needs to support each resident's Individual Support Plan (ISP) and assist with revising ISPs as necessary.

This role serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team requiring exceptional care skills and effective communication to escalate changes in individual physical status and recommend additional resident service needs.

In addition, you will escort individuals to various activities on and off campus as well as participate in housekeeping functions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 2st shift (2:45 PM to 11:15 PM), with a 30-minute lunch. You work a rotating schedule and have rotating days off. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime required
  • Travel as needed
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
