Job Duties:
The Eligibility Specialist I is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of incoming annual and semi-annual recertifications arriving statewide for the State Office SNAP Scanning Center.
Also responsible for accurately and effectively transferring annual and semi-annual recertifications into the agency's statewide scanning system.
- Responsible for sorting and routing incoming annual and semi-annual re-certifications and appropriate documentation.
- Mail processing to include stamping and re-routing mail received in error back to the county or origin or the customer.
Ensures the proper registering, scanning and assigning of documents entering the Scan Center daily. Paper documentation will be processed and reviewed for overall image quality and accuracy.
Paper documents will be scanned into the statewide scanning system and assigned to the appropriate folder indicating county/worker assignment.
- Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of scanning equipment.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
Requirements
A High School Diploma and relevant program experience in clerical, administration, Social Work, correctional administration, or general business administration.
A Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
