This job involves working under a therapist's guidance to help patients with disabilities through basic exercises and treatments aimed at improving strength, mobility, and daily functioning in a busy county health system.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
Option I: One (1) year of experience in a medical care setting involving direct patient care.
Option II: Completion of an aide technician training course* and six (6) months of experience.LICENSE:A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.PHYSICAL CLASS III - Moderate: Includes standing or walking most of the time, with bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and reaching; includes working on irregular surfaces, occasionally lifting objects weighting over 25 pounds, and frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT INFORMATION:*In order to receive credit for any college course work or for completion of a training or certificate program, you must include a legible copy of the official transcripts from the accredited institution which shows identifiable course titles or certificates of completion of training; with your application or within 15 calendar days of filing.
Applications submitted without the required evidence of certification will be rejected.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of three (3) semester units or four (4) quarter units in human anatomy or exercise physiology courses*.Current certification* in accordance with the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) for Healthcare Providers.
Additional credit will be given to applicants who possess the desirable qualification in excess of the Selection Requirements.
Additional Information EXAMINATION CONTENT:This examination will consist of an evaluation of education, experience, and desirable qualifications based upon application information weighted 100%.CANDIDATES MUST ACHIEVE A PASSING SCORE OF 70% OR HIGHER ON THE EXAMINATION IN ORDER TO BE ADDED TO THE ELIGIBLE REGISTER.Notification Letters and other correspondences will be sent electronically to the email address provided on the application.
