Requirements

As a Regional Nursing Home Field Services Manager, you will lead the Southcentral Region by overseeing the Harrisburg and Johnstown field offices to uphold the Department of Health's mission of licensing and regulatory compliance. You will directly supervise field office supervisors to ensure that all licensure, certification, and enforcement actions are completed accurately and within mandated timeframes. By leading routine communications and coordinating with division management, you will ensure the consistent application of policies and assist in the development of statewide quality assurance initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring survey data, eliminating reporting delays, and managing regional workloads to ensure appropriate coverage based on facility volume and staffing levels. You will analyze complex or emergency situations to provide expert recommendations to the Division Chief and compile regular reports for executive review. Additionally, you will participate in the Informal Dispute Resolution Committee to track decisions and ensure that all field activities maintain the highest standards of federal and state health and safety regulations.

The Southcentral Region includes the Harrisburg and Johnstown field offices. The Harrisburg Field Office covers the following counties: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Perry, and York. The Johnstown Field Office covers the following counties: Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Clearfield, Fulton, Huntingdon, Indiana, Jefferson, Somerset, and Westmoreland.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Five years of health care facility survey experience, three years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity and a bachelors degree; or
  • Five years of experience that involves the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures for health care administration, three years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity and a bachelors degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes the required three years in a supervisory capacity.

  • This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension..
