Education and Experience: High School Diploma, GED or higher.
Licenses and Certificates: Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent from another state by time of appointment. CPR and Basic First Aid Certification required within six (6) months of appointment.
Under immediate supervision, assist recreation staff in leading activities at a recreation facility or recreation program.
Monitor participation in and lead specified recreation activities such as games, leagues, aerobics, assorted recreational classes, and free play.
Involves: Assist in teaching or teach classes at facilities as required. Issue and maintain recreation equipment. Assist in setting up for activities and special events.
Assist in supporting recreation activities. Involves: Greet public and direct to appropriate activities. Answer phones. Provide information regarding facilities activities.
Register participants for classes, leagues, etc. Collect fees and prepare receipts. Maintain records such as attendance and equipment inventory as required. Open and close facility.
Assist with preparing activity reports. Other duties as assigned.
