About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation, Silver Wings Pool.
Nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods 'and skills, as well as basic first aid training, and CPR (both adult & child).
Must have experience in supervising 4 or more individuals and a working knowledge of skills in the use of maintenance of various pool and safety equipment. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have an approved and current nationally recognized certification for the type of activity and skill levels they are instructing.

Must have experience in supervising 4 or more individuals and a working knowledge of skills in the use of maintenance of various pool and safety equipment. Major Duties:
Supervises lifeguards and WSI. Works in swimming pool environment where lifeguards are present to perform lifesaving activity.
Rescues and resuscitates individuals in danger of drowning and renders first aid to injuries. Uses a variety of techniques such as artificial respiration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and first aid.
May assist lifeguards in inspecting pools for safe conditions, and perform other duties as assigned for the daily operation of the swimming pool to include cleaning bath houses, wading pools, main pools, and pool decks.
Implements programs and work schedules as directed by the Aquatics Director. Ensures timely accomplishment of work assignments.
Maintains records of work accomplishment as required by program directives/procedures. Maintains awareness of status and progress and make day to day adjustments based on established priorities.
Gives on-the-job training to new employees. Maintains a current knowledge and answers questions on procedures, methods, and ensures deadlines have been met.
Resolves informal patron complaints and refers unusual issues/concerns to Aquatics Director for resolution.
Maintains employee time and attendance, scheduling and reports employee scheduling problems to the Aquatics Director. Collects admission fees, makes change and completes appropriate forms.
Completes daily facility financial paperwork. Maintains all paperwork related to the daily operation of the facility.
