This job is for a recreation assistant at a theater center on a U.S.
Army base in Germany, where you'll help run shows by building sets, operating lights and sound, and handling basic office tasks like inventory and equipment checks.
It's ideal for someone with hands-on experience in community theater or performing arts who enjoys creative, behind-the-scenes work in a supportive military environment.
No advanced degree is needed, just practical skills from past productions.
This position is located at USAG Ansbach - MWR, Theatrix Theater Center, Franken Kaserne, Ansbach, Germany. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).
Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following: - Prior experience participating in variety shows, bands and plays. - Prior experience in the construction of sets and scenery.
- Prior experience with the operation of light and stage sound systems for the productions.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": - Possess at least one (1) year experience with construction of sets and scenery.
- Possess at least one (1) year experience with lighting and stage sound systems. Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager.
