Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Experience in an Information Tickets and Travel environment which provided a general familiarity with the routines and procedures.
Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to insure appropriate interaction with vendors, i.e., Disney hotels car rentals, etc.
Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) cruise counselor certified or presently enrolled in certification process is desirable. Skill in Microsoft automation is required. Must be 18 years of age.
Major Duties:
Assists in establishing and administering commercial reservation and ticketing services with airlines, hotels, cruises, and trip insurance tour packages and travel related services for customers.
Provides clear and accurate guidance and coordination of leisure travel information and referral services for individual and group customers. Assists in promoting ITT programs.
Assists in coordinating publicity and promotional requirements in support of program activities. Assists in monitoring and maintaining data for reports.
Provides advice concerning passports, visas and travel protocols. Uses preferred suppliers for the best value for customers. Assist in the operation of the Point-of-Sale System.
May be required to make daily deposits. Greets and assists customers on a daily basis by providing complete and updated ticket information.
Performs administrative work as needed to support the mission. Prepares daily activity reports and deposits in accordance with policies and related directives.
Assists with reports for correctness and neatness before submission. Assists in maintaining and conducting monthly inventory.
