Job Description

Summary

This job is for a recreation assistant at a community center on a military base in Alaska, where you'll help people enjoy activities by checking out gear, answering questions, fixing complaints, and organizing fun events like tournaments or classes.

Full Job Description

This position is located at the Aurora Community Activity Center on Fort Greely. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience dealing with the general public. Major Duties:

  • In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery.
  • Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
  • Plans, conducts, publicizes and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. May provide work guidance to other staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
