Summary

This job involves working in a ticket and travel office on a military base, where you'll sell tickets to attractions, manage bookings for tours and buses, handle payments, and keep records to help service members and their families enjoy outings.

It's a flexible part-time role with hours varying from 0 to 40 per week, including some evenings and weekends.

A good fit would be someone organized with customer service experience, comfortable with cash handling and basic office tasks, who enjoys helping people plan fun trips.

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Information, Tickets, and Travel Office, inside of Outdoor Recreation, on Dover Air Force Base.

As a FLEX employee, you may work anywhere between 0-40 hours per week, on an as needed basis. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes a demonstrated ability to perform common math problems, use of Microsoft Office products for day-to-day operations, perform basic file operations, and effective time management.

Must also have sufficient experience with cash handling and cash register operations to effectively account for large amounts of cash and credit card payments with little or no errors.

Must be able to account for all consignment and inventory tickets with 100 percent accuracy. Must be able to communicate orally and verbally and possess effective customer service skills.

Must be available to occasionally work non-regular shifts to include evenings and weekends. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Major Duties:

Performs Information, Tickets, and Travel (ITT) duties in preparing and maintaining office records of various types and performs in-depth administrative work.

Sells a variety of tickets to amusement and theme parks, museums, zoos, aquariums, historic sites, cinemas and other attractions within Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey New York, Florida and other areas as requested by customers.

Maintains spreadsheets for daily and monthly accounting to include ticket logs, tour reports and unearned income accounts, Air Force Central Ticket accounting sheets, financial transaction register, confirmation reports, Rec Trac, monthly inventories, consignment accounts and NAF purchasing via NAF Purchasing Card.

Schedules, coordinates, and collects payment for ITT scheduled and private coach bus tours. Maintains customer payment logs.

Provides clear and accurate guidance and coordination of ITT information and referral services to both individuals and groups. Performs tour guide services as required for trips and tours.

Programs tour schedules up to one year in advance. Works with Commercial Sponsor Coordinator to program in-kind and monetary sponsorship when available.

Performs day-to-day work effectively and efficiently with little or no supervision. Duties occasionally require night and weekend work. Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
