Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team!

MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community.

We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.

High School Graduate or equivalent. Skill to demonstrate activities and use of related facility equipment. Skill to learn applicable MCCS policies and procedures.

This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Performs other duties as assigned. Major Duties:

Incumbent is assigned to one or more specialized recreational activities and/or locations which include but are not limited to: Athletic department, Boathouse & Marina Recreation Area, Bowling & Community Center, Fitness Center, Gear Issue & RV lots, Health Promotions, Single Marine Program, Active Duty Center, and Tickets & Tours.

Performs and/or assists in the daily operations of the assigned activity.

Based on established policies, incumbent carries out assigned phases of designated activity applying an understanding of the interest and needs of program participants.

Typical assignments may include: opening and closing facility (key holder), front desk operations, administrative support, register operation, facility safeguarding and tidiness, daily activity report preparation and system upload.

May assist in planning, coordinating, scheduling, and publicizing various details of recreational programs and activities. Applying rules and regulations in supervising indoor and outdoor activities.

Demonstrates procedures common to the activities and instructs in the use of related equipment. May oversee sale of retail items associated with activities.

Ensures adherence to safety rules and regulations. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.

Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.

Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned.
