This job involves helping run a fitness center on a U.S.

Full Job Description

This position is located at USAG Italy - MWR, Del Din Fitness Center, Vicenza, Italy. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possesses directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to operate multiple fitness facilities.

The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possession of a Nationally Recognized Basic Fitness Trainer Certification.

Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager. All other qualified applicants will be referred if requested by the hiring manager.

  • Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
  • Duties include adjusting due to changes in program demands or hours of operation and assisting in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions.
  • Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance or referral as appropriate.
  • Assists with publicity of programs and events assists with marketing of posters, flyers and other promotional material.
  • Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Assists with the inventory of property. Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate.
