About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Travis Outdoor Recreation facility at Travis Air Force Base, CA.
Must be physically able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
Eligible to use base facilities such as: Base Exchange (BX), Gym, Outdoor Rec, Library, Marina, Golf Course, Bowling Center, and the Arts & Crafts Center. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules and procedures.
Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use of maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and possess skill in dealing with the public.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Provide customer service to both internal and external customers, answering the telephone and responding to e-mails.
Responsible for cash and inventory accountability, operating cash register, and providing input into a Point of Sale (POS) system.
Takes reservations for trips/tours, rental equipment, campsites, stalls, RV storage and aquatic center events.
Performs retail sale duties of merchandise to include selling amusement parks and entertainment tickets. Performs billing for outdoor adventure trips, classes, and RV storage.
Performs rental duties of preparing rental for customer, checking in and out equipment, parking spots, stalls, campsites, and cleans and maintains all rental items.
Ensure all paperwork including necessary waivers and/or checklists are completed for each respective activity. Maintains all equipment including adjusting bindings on ski/snowboard rentals, if needed.
Cleans the restrooms, office, storage areas and other applicable areas on a regular basis. Maintains grounds surrounding facilities which includes picking up trash.
