This job involves helping organize and run fun recreational activities, trips, and ticket sales for military families and personnel at an Air Force base in Texas.

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Dyess ITT (Information, Ticket and Travel), Dyess AFB, TX.
This position will be filled as a flexible category position. Flexible category positions have no benefits and no guaranteed hours and may work zero to 40 hours per week. Will work Saturdays.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Progressively responsible clerical or office work experience. General knowledge of the West Texas area is highly desirable.
Skill of a qualified typist is not required but have experience or education in the use of a computer. Possess experience in working with the public.
Possess the ability to communicate orally and in writing. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Assists in planning, scheduling, publicizing and conducting a variety of recreational activities.
Provides recreational programs, tours, mini-trips and other recreational activities to a community of over 7,000 military, civilian and retired military personnel and their families.
Assists in the operation of a ticket operation. Assesses the needs of patrons through surveys, questionnaires and personal contact.
Assists in the scheduling and monitoring of recreational vehicle reservations. Gives travel advice and information to customers involving various types of events, accommodations and scheduling.
Operates a cash register, receives monies, makes change, charges to ember's accounts, issues receipt, completes related cash control forms and prepares daily reports.
Must be proficient in basic computer skills such as using the internet to schedule travel. Decorates display area with information on tickets and tours available to the community.
