This position is located at the Gulf Winds Golf Course, which is part of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department aboard Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, TX.
Incumbent is under direct supervision of the Golf Course Manager.
The purpose of this position is to provide and maintain adequate supply of riding carts and range balls during normal operating hours and to clean and return golf carts to storage area, restock adequate supply of range balls for the next days use.

Knowledge of the MWR department in order to answer customer questions and/or refer customers to the appropriate activity.
Skilled in keyboarding to include operation of point of sale systems as well as desktop computers. Ability to perform basic computer operations.
Ability to read and comprehend in order to adhere to published rules, regulations, standard operating procedures, checklists, and other guides.
Ability to perform basic custodial tasks (e.g., sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, dusting, etc.).
Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Ability to identify customer needs, deliver expected service and/or resolve routine customer issues.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Major Duties:
Performs most of all the following duties, which are typical, but not all inclusive Uses a gas powered mechanical golf ball retriever to pick up golf balls and places golf balls in the range ball dispenser.
Retrieves range ball baskets. Pick up range balls by hand that cannot be retrieved by the mechanical golf ball retriever.
Cleans, stores, and secures golf carts, attaches or removes the battery charger hook-ups as appropriate. Will change the practice hitting area to a new location daily.
Cleans the golf ball dispenser and performs preventive maintenance functions such as cleaning the gears, cleaning debris from the inside of the dispenser, and oiling moving parts.
Checks patrons to ensure they have paid daily green fees. Clean and stocks restrooms and checks sanitation during the shift.
Empties trash receptacles and picks up papers, trash and debris around buildings and facilities in order to keep the outside area neat, clean and presentable.
Cleans and maintains shelters, and drinking fountains on the golf course. Replaces broken lights, paper products, and empties trash cans. Performs other related duties as assigned.
