About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Wateree Recreation Area Shaw AFB, SC. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Be at least 16 years old to work. Must have practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures.
Be able to safeguard and handle cash and make change when receiving payments from customers.
Skill in the use of maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities is desirable, however, no experience is required. Pass a pre-employment physical. Have a valid driver's license.
Works primarily at nights and OI) weekends but can be assigned to any days/hours. Satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and Installation Records Check (IRC).
This is a testing designated position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Pass a drug test as a condition of employment. Incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Performs and/or assists other recreation aides/assistants/specialists in the operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational facilities.
Sets up recreational areas for scheduled activities and events. Assists customers in the sales store, selling a limited variety of items, including alcohol.
Issues and checks in boats/life vests/recreational equipment; checks condition before issue and after return. Completes required forms, including daily activity reports.
Answers questions concerning activities/uses of the park. Checks visitors to ensure only authorized users are in the park.
Monitors park to ensure that visitors are following proper rules/ guidelines for safe/proper use of park and facilities. Contacts appropriate agencies/authorities in emergencies.
Performs custodial duties as need. Performs other related duties as assigned.
