About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Woodlawn Golf Course in Ramstein Air Base, Germany. This position does not offer Logistical Support.

The primary purpose of this position is to perform and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialist in the operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational facilities.

Citizens and legal U.S. residents in Germany. In accordance with the Status of Forces Agreement between Germany and the U.S., you must be a U.S. citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a U.S.

permanent resident card in order to be eligible for NAF employment.

Citizens of Germany (including dual citizenship if Germany is one of the countries) as well as "ordinarily resident" US citizens are not eligible for NAF employment per SOFA agreement.

If not already in the commuting area, must be able to verify the ability to arrive before a firm job offer can be sent.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of the game of golf. Knowledge of the etiquette and rules of golf are desired.

Must be able to read, write, speak English, and have skill in dealing with the public. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Must be able to work independently and be able to work outdoors in the heat, wind, dust and other weather-related conditions. Must be able to lift up to 40pounds. Valid USAREUR license is required.

Subject to an uncommon tour of duty to include weekends. Satisfactory completion of National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier-I) is required. "This is a drug testing designated position.

The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use." You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

Greets all customers arriving for their tee times at Woodlawn Golf Course. Issues power carts to patrons and inspects for damages upon return prior to cleaning.

Safely operating a golf cart in the normal course of duties.

Ensures that only authorized patrons and guests use the facility by checking current green fee ticket/annual fee status before allowing them to proceed to the number one tee.

In addition to verifying players abide by facility dress code and are aware of daily cart rules. Provides player control at the starting tees and throughout the player's round of golf.

Controls proper and fair order of play from the starting tee, per reserved tee times or on a first-come/first-served basis.

Maintains a starter sheet entailing the date; course of play, member number, actual tee time, golf cart number, and the number of players in the group.

Ensures that each player has his or her own set of golf clubs, if not will issue golf clubs. Maintains order and availability of tees in support of scheduled tournaments.

Collects range balls, cleaning and depositing into a dispenser. Maintains outside facilities and equipment for safe conditions, adequate supplies of customer demand, and to uphold a professional image.

Coordinates with the pro shop as needed through prescribed means of communication. Advises golfers o safety tips, etiquette, and course condition.

May operate Government vehicles when performing duties. Performs other related duties as assigned.
