This position is located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent).

American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional". CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED). First Aid Certification.

For Water Parks upgrade the certification to: Waterpark Lifeguarding and First Aid; CPR/PR/AED' (American Red Cross).

Experience MUST be clearly reflected on your Resume at the time of application to be considered Major Duties:

• Serves as a lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools and works under the direction of the Installation Aquatics Program Manager. Employs safety rules for the protection of the pool guests.
• Responsible for lifeguarding guests in attendance at the assigned aquatics facility. Provides maximum pool area surveillance and responds to emergencies; rescues pool patrons and administers first aid as required.
• Responsible for assisting in the conduct of aquatic swimming and water survival training according to ATP 7-22.01 as of October 2020 and assisting with American Red Cross swim lessons as an Aide.
• Attend aquatics and/or safety training as directed. Adheres to Customer Service standards of the Installation. Assists in maintaining pool, and area clean and free from any hazards.
• Performs periodic water tests and reports results to the pool leader on duty. Provides information to swimmers regarding safety/health/admission rules and procedures. Maintains daily logs, reports and records as required.
