This job is for a lifeguard at a military base's pools, where you'll watch swimmers, respond to emergencies, perform rescues, and give first aid while keeping the area clean and safe.

This position is located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord Sports, Fitness and Aquatics Program. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will be paid.
Retention Incentive (Cash Bonus) in the amount up to $1,000.00 is authorized.
Selectees are eligible to receive a cash bonus of $500.00 after working 50 hours and an additional $500.00 after working 100 hours. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possesses and maintains the following certifications: 1. Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e.
Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS) 2. American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED); 3.
First Aid.
For Water Parks upgrade the certification to: 'Waterpark Lifeguarding and First Aid; CPR/PR/AED' (American Red Cross)In addition, for facilities that use Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the O2 Administration certification (American Red Cross "Oxygen Administration or installation offered training (i.e.
Fire Dept.) must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty. Major Duties:
