About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 628 FORCE SUPPORT SQUADRON Outdoor Recreation/Information, Ticket and Travel (ITT).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have skills in the use of basic computers such as office automation software and Windows based operating systems.
Must possess the ability to safeguard funds and have experience in cash handling. Must possess good communication and interpersonal relationship skills as well as telephone etiquette.
Must be able to communicate with the public. May work uncommon work schedule, including weekends.
General travel industry knowledge is highly desirable, with Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort and Charleston local attractions and knowledge.
Must be courteous and show tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers and co-workers. Promptly and courteously receives, greets and answers questions from visitors and telephone callers.
Accurately provides information to guests ensuring compliance. Accurately prepares reports according to regulations and policies, and in the appropriate format.
Cash handling procedures must be adhered to with accurate cash and credit balance. Ensures compliance with all established safety and security policies and regulations.
Strictly adheres to cash handling procedures and policies required by AF, AETC, LAFB and management. Must be punctual and keep absences to a minimum.
Expected to present a professional attitude and public image and comply with reasonable dress and grooming standards at all times.
Rec Trac Point of Sale (POS) System; Lilypad Vortex, Passport Exchange and any other training that is required to perform the duties as listed.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Serves as primary customer service representative for the Information, Ticket and Travel office. Greets customers in person, answers inquiries directly and over the telephone.
Provides customers with information regarding ticket availability, local area attractions, and ticket pricing.
Completes sales transactions utilizing cash register, calculator, credit card-swipe machines, emails and other office equipment.
Conducts periodic inventory of tickets, safeguards tickets during the shift and secures them at the end of the shift.
Notifies supervisor when stock of tickets becomes low, so reorders can be accomplished. Completes daily cashier documentation including sales reports, cashier reports and band deposits.
Opens and closes the ITT office, completing the opening and closing checklists.
Maintains a complete stock of information on local area attractions, advertises tickets and tours, maintains social media sites weekly, and works with the Marketing Department to help with sales.
Ensures information displays are fully stocked, orders brochures and flyer's from local and regional tourism bureaus, chambers of commerce, municipal, count, state and federal government agencies and similar organizations.
