Job Description

Summary

This entry-level job involves helping run a fitness center on a U.S.

Army base in Germany, where you'll guide visitors on using gym equipment, set up for classes and events, promote activities, and keep an eye on equipment maintenance.

It's ideal for someone with basic customer service experience in a recreational or fitness setting who enjoys staying active and working with people in a supportive military community.

Key Requirements

  • Related work experience in fitness or recreation facilities, such as providing instructions on equipment use
  • Ability to assist with setup for events, classes, athletic activities, and related functions
  • Skills in monitoring and maintaining fitness equipment, including tracking repairs

This position is located at USAG Rheinland-Pfalz - MWR, Baumholder, Mountaineer Physical Fitness Center, Baumholder, Germany. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

  • Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
  • Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions.
  • Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material.
  • Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate.
