About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Starlifter Lanes Physical Effort: Must be physically able to lift and frequently stand and walk.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 03/12/2026 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of a bowling center operational activities, rules, and procedures; ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of bowling equipment and facilities are desirable; However, no experience is required.

Must be physically able to lift and frequently stand and walk. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.

Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI). Exercises courtesy, diplomacy and tact when dealing with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.

Expected to have no more than two (2) valid complaints per rating cycle.

Adheres to cash handling procedures and properly documents cashier reports, with no more than five (5) minor errors allowed per rating cycle (minor errors being overages/shortages less than$ 10).

Major errors will be evaluated based on their amount and seriousness. Provides accurate assistance to patrons in a courteous and professional manner.

Ensures that requested advise and assistance are handled in a manner judged timely for each situation. Resolves problems promptly with minimal adverse impact to the customer and to the operation.

Identifies problem areas and trends concerning patron participation, the lanes, the pins, time management system, and automatic scoring system.

Satisfactorily master the operation of the Automatic Pinsetter, the Automatic Scoring System, the Time Management System, and the Data Tracking Cash Register ystem within ninety (90) days of appointment, and within one (I) week for changes/updates to systems.

Must adhere to safety, fire, funds protection, and security procedures, with no more than one ( l) violation per rating cycle.

Shows a willingness to learn and help out in other areas of the center; adapting easily to new assignments, changes in instructions, work methods, and work situations.

Provides quality customer service to internal and external customer in accordance with Customer Service Policy Letter. Consistently follows and adheres to daily closing procedures.

Any instance of living cash register or building unsecured is unacceptable. During assigned shift maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the Center.

Ensures that planned events take place as scheduled.

Consistently reviews the schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and workweek in order to ascertain what special preparations are required.

Expected level of performance is discussed at initial appointment, during mid-year reviews, and during annual performance evaluations.

TRAINING Conferences, seminars, and workshops in the bowling 'industry, safety, fire, security, funds and resource protection, ethics, EEO, customer service, and all other training as deemed necessary by management.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

Operates the counter operation which includes assignment of bowling lanes, shoe rental, and collecting and accounting for cash and charges. Sells shoes, bowling balls, and other accessories.

Operates cash register receiving monies for sales and service. Prepares necessary documentation for cash accountability. Issues bowling lanes and shoes to customers.

Maintains customer waiting list as required. Makes appointment for ball drilling, bowling instructions, and lane reservations. Corrects minor machine malfunctions when required.

Makes a complete safety and fire prevention inspection of building prior to end of shift and documents same. Required to assist in other areas such as the snack bar during peak periods.

Works under the general supervision of the Bowling Center Manager. Position requires moderate lifting, prolonged standing and walking. Position is a position of trust.
