This position will be assigned to the JBSA Randolph Rambler Fitness Center. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40 hrs./week.

Qualifying Experience: This is an entry level position, no experience required. Experience in clerical, office, cash handling or retail sales is desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: 1.Knowledge of operating a cash register.
2.Ability to receiving and dispersing cashier duties.

The purpose of this position is to support the day to day operation of the fitness center.
Serves as the desk attendant ensuring only authorized patrons use the facility and equipment and adhere to fitness center policy.
Greets visitors, answers telephones, and makes reservations for classes or use of equipment and facilities. Provides information on scheduled events and classes.
Provides assistance and basic instruction to patrons in the proper use of exercise machines and equipment. Circulates among patrons to ensure customer satisfaction and safe and proper use of equipment.
Issues sports equipment and completes required documentation for transaction. Inspects returned equipment noting damages.
Inspects all equipment and facilities according to established standards and local fire and safety procedures. Reports damaged exercise equipment to supervisor.
Performs opening and closing procedures of facilities IA W written guidelines. Performs minor repairs, adjustments and regular cleaning on equipment and facility.
Maintains and prepares fitness center facilities, grounds and equipment for daily use, programs and special functions. Launders towels and upholds towel exchange program.
Performs receiving and dispersing cashier duties. Takes cash, check, credit card, coupons etc. Prepares and issues change.
Ensures all monies are accounted for and reports discrepancies to supervisor as soon as possible. Drives a government vehicle such as golf carts, light truck, sedan, gator or similar vehicle.
