About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to Peace Keeper Lanes at Offutt AFB. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Must have practical knowledge of bowling and recreational activities.

A demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly is crucial, and skill in using and maintaining bowling equipment is highly desirable.

Previous experience in customer service or recreation programs is preferred, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Condition(s) of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

The Bowling Recreation Aid is responsible for providing outstanding customer service by assisting patrons with lane reservations, arranging for equipment rentals and charging them out to participants and checking them for condition on their return, and general inquiries, ensuring they understand bowling rules and etiquette.

Prepares area for special events, activities, or parties setting up recreation areas for scheduled activities.

This includes operating the point-of-sale system accurately, handling cash and credit card transactions responsibly, and addressing customer complaints professionally, escalating as needed.

A key part of the role involves facility maintenance, including keeping the bowling area clean and orderly by wiping down lanes, cleaning shoes, removing trash, and stocking supplies.

Additionally, the aid will inspect bowling equipment for malfunctions, report issues for repair, and perform minor maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about matters related to activities scheduled; takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment; and helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks.
