This job involves leading afterschool programs for kids at elementary schools in Sunnyvale, where you'll supervise staff and children, plan fun activities, and handle daily operations to keep everything running smoothly and safely.
It's a part-time, seasonal role from late summer through spring, perfect for energetic people who love working with youth and have some experience in camps or afterschool settings.

The City of Sunnyvale is seeking motivated, reliable, energetic and skilled individuals interested in assisting with supervising youth groups in an afterschool setting.
Currently there are vacancies in our Youth and Family Resources work unit primarily responsible for afterschool and community programs.
There are multiple afterschool programs that operate from August 2025 to June 2026, Monday through Friday, 12:30 or 2:00 to 6 p.m.
Training for afterschool programs will start sometime in mid- August.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Position requires regular sitting, standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping in the performance of activities.
The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement, and fine coordination.
Additionally, the position requires near and far vision in reading reports and work-related documents and using a computer. Acute hearing is required when providing personal customer service.
The need to lift, drag and push, pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds is also required.
Some of these requirements may be accommodated for otherwise qualified individuals requiring and requesting such accommodation.
