Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing and organizing official records for the U.S.
Attorneys' Office, including setting up efficient filing systems, updating case information in databases, and advising staff on how to handle, store, or dispose of records.

GS-9: To be eligible at the GS-09 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of Education and Experience.
Specialized Experience: One full year of full-time specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which could have been gained in the federal, public, and/or private sector.
Specialized Experience is defined as: designing and implementing a file arrangement system for the efficiency of official records; providing advisory services to staff relative to records management; reviewing recurring reports to ensure data integrity of caseload information; and performing docketing functions utilizing a centralized automated case management system.
OR Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g.
Library Science, Archives, Records Administration): a Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B.
or J.D., if related.
Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
OR Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.
In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year.

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for records and information management.
Typical work assignments will include: Completes analytical projects and assignments involving USAO official records, including official electronic media.
Studies the types of records, use, location, and classification to develop efficient and effective records management controls.
Provides advisory services to USAO supervisors and managers, relative to records management, storage, destruction, transfer, or other disposition. Serves as the records custodian.
Responsible for ensuring cases are updated and closed in paper and electronic filing systems.
Performs case data entry to include the closing of cases into the district's centralized automated case management system.
Regularly generates and reviews recurring reports to ensure data integrity and assists staff with semi-annual case certifications.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
