Full Job Description

This position is part of the EDF Office of Energy Dominance Financing, Department of Energy.

As a Records and Information Management Specialist, you will oversee the management of EDF Records and Information.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS GS-13: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: - Leading or managing records and information management projects or programs.

- Applying knowledge to assess, evaluate, and improve records and information management systems and processes.

AND - Providing guidance and technical expertise on records and information management issues to diverse stakeholders SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS GS-14: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: - Leading the development and implementation of comprehensive records and information management policies, programs, or systems for an organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

- Analyzing existing information management systems and processes to identify deficiencies, recommend improvements, and oversee their integration or modification to meet evolving records management standards and requirements.

- Providing expert guidance and training to diverse stakeholders on complex records and information management issues, including data governance, privacy, and legal holds, to ensure organizational adherence and mitigate risks.

As a Records and Information Management Specialist, you will: Manages and implements the Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) Records Management program, ensuring compliance with federal and Department of Energy (DOE) regulations.

Serves as the primary contact and subject matter expert for records management within EDF, interacting with DOE, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), and other federal agencies.

Oversees the integration of records management requirements into information technology (IT) systems and ensures that both analog and electronic records are properly managed.

Develops and conducts training and awareness programs on information management for EDF employees and contractors.

Analyzes and responds to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and ensures the protection of sensitive information, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Develops policies, guidelines, and standards for records management programs, considering strategic goals and legal mandates.
