Full Job Description

This position of Reasonable Accommodation Coordinator, Management and Program Analyst), SK-0343-13 is within the Office of Human Resources (OHR) - Performance, Reasonable Accommodation & WorkLife Branch.

OHR provides leadership for the strategic management of the SEC's human capital by administering programs, establishing policies, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-12 level. Applicants are responsible for confirming all required materials are submitted by the closing date of the announcement.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: SK-13: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-12 level.

Specialized experience includes: 1) Evaluating reasonable accommodation/religious accommodation requests; AND 2) Evaluating medical and operational information; AND 3) Identifying accommodation solutions; AND 4) Applying laws, regulations, and agency policies (e.g.

Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Pregnant Workers Fairness Act) to reasonable accommodation cases.

In this role as a Reasonable Accommodations Coordinator, you will be responsible for: Serving as an analyst and adviser to management of an assigned organization within a SEC Headquarters office, a division, or a regional office.

Analyzing and evaluating programs for compliance with established statutes, policies, and approved procedures.

Identifying and developing ways to resolve problems or cope with issues that affect the accomplishment of organizational program goals and objectives.

Conducting fact-finding analysis of issues surrounding the matter at hand to identify and clarify problems or relevant issues.

Identifying ways to improve or enhance current practices and programs to ensure that workforce is effective in meeting business objectives.

Applying organizational and management analysis theories, concepts, principles and techniques in the planning, policy development, technical direction, execution, and evaluation of various projects, programs and initiatives.
