Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Realty Specialist in the Facilities Department, Real Estate Section of MARFORRES NOLA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) coordinating and providing technical guidance regarding real estate civil works Acquisitions; 2) researching, interpreting, and applying laws and policies regarding real estate actions; and 3) identifying, obtaining, and preparing documentation needed to plan and execute real estate actions.

  • You will review and track funding requests and prepare and review routine and complex real estate transactions and support agreements for federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as with the general public.
  • You will review real estate correspondence, projects, studies and other material requiring concurrence or approval of higher headquarters for accuracy, completeness of technical detail, and conformance to established policy.
  • You will initiate corrective actions when deficiencies are found and provide technical advice and assistance when problems are encountered with local states/territories or municipalities.
  • You will coordinate with the asset management branch for mapping and required contract surveying in support of acquisition and disposal actions including the preparation of tract maps, project maps, flowage easement maps, and other special projects.
  • You will prepare and present information and decision briefing to the Real Estate Manager to establish and maintain communications.
