Full Job Description

These positions are located with Bonneville Power Administration in the Real Property Field Services (TERR) organization of Real Property Services, (TER), Engineering and Technical Services (TE), Transmission Services (T).

A successful candidate in the Realty Specialist position will provide real estate services for both maintenance and construction of the BPA Transmission System.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-11] in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience applying knowledge of a wide range of real property rights principles, concepts, and practices to 1) manage negotiations for land rights (e.g., easements, leases, permits, fees, etc.) and; 2) perform real property rights management and disposal functions for the organization (i.e., property use, lease, and disposal); 3) conduct real property valuation estimates.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

As a Realty Specialist, you will: Prepare land cost preliminary estimates used for planning purposes.

Review appraisals prepared by other staff for technical accuracy, adequacy, and adherence to policy.

Plan, develop, implement, interpret policy for, and administers property management and disposal for a wide range of routine and complex real property cases.

Within delegated appraisal authority, provide supporting evidence of market value for property rights being leased or disposed through an appraisal or the estimation process.

Procure needed title and other real estate related goods and services within delegated authority.
