This job involves reviewing real estate appraisals for properties used in public projects, like transportation developments, to ensure they follow proper standards and guidelines.
You'll provide expert advice on valuation and damage estimates while working mostly from an office with some travel and partial remote options.
It's ideal for experienced appraisers who enjoy technical analysis and working in a government setting focused on infrastructure.

As a Real Estate Appraisal Reviewer, you will review Real Estate and Machinery & Equipment appraisals submitted by field units in an assigned area and provide technical guidance in assuring conformance to accepted appraisal techniques and requirements.
Assignments are received in broad outline and completed work is reviewed in order to ensure that results are in adherence to established policies and procedures and in conformance with Pub.
378 Right of Way manual. You will make determinations of compensable elements of damages that are normally made along with, before, and after values, and estimates of damages.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of appraisal review functions as described in Chapter 2 of Pub.
378, the Right of Way Manual, as you will be tasked with performing appraisal reviews and other related responsibilities within a specified area. District needs may adjust the assigned areas as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50% of the work schedule.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
