This National Guard position is for a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1065000 and is part of the FL AASF 1, National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1 & 3 Only.
Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency WITH dual FL National Guard military membership; Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard.
First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized.
Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

Military Grades: Enlisted: E6 thru E9 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS09 Must have at least 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade; experience, education, or training, involving principles, techniques, and accepted practices of quality assurance work (i.e., the application of statistical sampling techniques sufficient to perform assignments or preparation of technical reports on quality levels to identify specific problems); experience in the application and theory of specialization using applicable publications; experience in the preparation of technical reports on quality levels to identify specific problem areas and to recommend corrective action; experience with assigned aircraft, component systems, and support equipment to include aircraft specifications and standards (UH60).
Major Duties:
As a, Quality Assurance Specialist, GS-1910-09, you will develops the AASF Quality Management Plan (QMP) that documents the management and operational policies and procedures to ensure work processes, products, or services satisfy expectations and quality standards.
Reviews Army materiel maintenance policies and operational procedures.
Assesses quality assurance programs of other Department of Defense (DoD) services, and analyzes commercial maintenance practices to establish a comprehensive Quality Program (QP) for the AASF.
Serve as quality assurance authority in the AASF. Acts as a consultant to higher-ranking personnel on quality assurance/verification matters.
Provides the Logistics Management Officer/Supervisory Maintenance Test Pilot and maintenance supervisors with definitive technical information and advice on maintenance procedures and techniques.
Resolves technical problems in support of the quality assurance program. Perform command directed quality inspections and special inspections for all aspects of aircraft and associated equipment.
Insures that compliance inspections are performed in accordance with standards. Records discrepancies, provides definitive corrective recommendations, and reviews adequacy of corrective action taken.
Reviews findings to determine adequacy of maintenance documentation.
