This temporary role acts as a training bridge for skilled trades workers to learn quality assurance skills in a naval shipyard setting, focusing on inspecting and certifying maintenance work on ships to ensure high standards.

The detailee for this position will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Nuclear Inspection Division (Code 139).
This position will serve in a bridge program designed to give employees an opportunity to gain competencies necessary to qualify for a GS-1910 position.
If selected, you will be placed in the position Not to Exceed One Year.
You are eligible for this training opportunity if you have journey level trades experience in one of the following series: ALL JOURNEY AND HIGHER-LEVEL 2801/5301 SERIES EMPLOYEES.
