Full Job Description

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the CNIC REGION SE of NAVAL AIR STATION.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience applying quality assurance principles, product test and evaluation methods and techniques, and knowledge of petroleum distribution equipment and product characteristics to implement, administer, and provide surveillance of the fuels quality assurance, inspection and inventory management program; *Experience understanding oil products, characteristics, management, storage operations, equipment and fuel distribution systems; *Experience handling the chemical and physical characteristics of all types of petroleum products; *Experience operating pumps, piping, filter separator units, pumping and loading procedures; *Experience utilizing gauging techniques, ability to interpret and understand schematic piping and flow diagrams, blueprints, and various complex standards and specifications.

  • You will monitor, record, and report Fuels contractor operations to ensure the continued delivery of quality fuel products.
  • You will ensure the contractor complies with an established statement of work and quality surveillance program for the products handled and the associated equipment and infrastructure used in its handling.
  • You will conduct inspections to investigate the adequacy of the contractor’s equipment and the competency of personnel to guarantee the quality control system is effectively working.
  • You will maintain surveillance over the quality assurance program for petroleum products from the time of receipt of the petroleum product to the time the product is issued (point of sale).
  • You will perform daily inventory procedures in order to evaluate and compare inventory control figures with issuing and receiving totals.
