Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737

This job involves inspecting and ensuring the quality of welding and testing on ships and submarines at a naval shipyard in Hawaii, focusing on non-destructive methods to check for defects without damaging parts.
You'll review documents, oversee inspections, and make sure everything meets safety and technical standards.

You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) in the Quality Assurance Department, Code 130, of the Welding Engineering and Nondestructive Test Division of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Salary Range: GS-11: $77,964 - $101,359 GS-12: $93,445 - $121,482 GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector overseeing quality assurance surveillance or assessments by developing and implementing quality assurance nondestructive test plans and projects in support of the overhaul, conversion, or repair of ships or submarines, and related equipment.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting quality assurance assessments and surveillances of nondestructive testing operations and analyzing the results in support of the overhaul, conversion, or repair of ships or submarines and related equipment.
