Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Nuclear Inspection Division, Quality Assurance Office of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience conducting planned and on the spot audits of shipyard functions and/or work packages related to the quality and reliability of products.

Experience utilizing knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and practices, production management, inspection, and quality control processes to evaluate work, material, and methods.

Experience assembling procedures and specifications, developing audit plans and schedules, reporting on audits, establishing responsibilities for corrective actions, and reporting status of all related actions.

Experience reporting and discussing audit findings with all levels of shipyard personnel and management and reviewing audit-finding replies.

Experience performing audits within NAVSEA criteria to maintain the Submarine Safety Certification Program (SUBSAFE) and ship readiness.

  • You will perform and aid in administering NAVSEA special emphasis program audits.
