Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves overseeing the quality of welding processes in a naval ship repair facility, where you'll inspect work, analyze data to spot problems, and suggest fixes to ensure everything meets standards during ship overhauls and repairs.
It's a good fit for someone with hands-on experience in quality checks for welding or manufacturing, who enjoys investigating issues and improving team operations in a structured environment like the military.
No advanced degree is required, but practical knowledge of welding and audits is key.
You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPEC (MATERIALS & PROCESSES) in the WELDING ENGINEERING DIVISION of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing Quality Assurance (QA) surveillances or audits of welding processes and techniques to identify negative trends or non-compliance and recommend corrective actions for support of ship overhaul, conversion or repair.
