Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-8. Master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves checking and ensuring that materials used in shipbuilding projects meet high quality and safety standards, mainly through inspections, audits, and coordinating fixes for any issues.
You'll work in a naval facility in Washington state, guiding teams on material checks and maintaining records to keep everything compliant.

You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist (Materials and Processes) in the Nonnuclear Inspection Division of the Quality Assurance Office at PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing quality assurance audits and assessments of material and inspection processes used in shipbuilding projects to ensure compliance with material certifications, specifications and requirements.
