Full Job Description

You will serve as a PURCHASING AGENT in the MARINE CORPS DISTRICT of 6TH MARINE CORPS.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating administrative programs or operations; reviewing and evaluating documents, records, or correspondence for accuracy and compliance with established policies; maintaining records management or document control systems; and analyzing processes to recommend improvements that support organizational operations.

  • You will review, edit, and purchase items or services to ensure the item or service is adequately described based on the requestor's need and is consistent with local and area policies.
  • You will collect data to conduct price analysis; Prepare solicitations; tailor terms and conditions; apply Federal and regional regulations and procedures; develop vendor questions; issue amendments; and publish solicitation and award notices.
  • You will be responsible for contract oversight and administration.
  • You will oversee purchase card and accountable property programs, ensuring compliance, financial accountability, fraud protection, and accurate reporting through automated systems.
  • You will file required financial disclosure statements.
