Job Description

Summary

This job involves overseeing public works operations in a naval facilities command, including managing resources like staff and equipment, developing budgets, and ensuring efficient maintenance of facilities to support mission goals.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a PUBLIC WORKS MANAGER in the PRODUCTION DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Allocating resources to ensure optimum use of available manpower, equipment, and transportation; 2) Directing staff efforts to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and identifying areas for process improvement; 3) Developing budgets that include projections or workload, Utilities, overhead cost, and revenue; 4) Evaluating policies and procedures to determine the effect on operations, staffing, and organizational requirements; and 5) Providing technical coordination and integration of factors for accomplishing organization's objectives.
