Full Job Description

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position.

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: · Coordinating and supporting social media or digital communications campaigns.

· Developing or implementing digital communication strategies. · Delivering briefings to senior internal or external officials (e.g., agency heads, private sector leadership).

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Public Affairs Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs (ASPA) to optimize business results and customer experience by: Advising and coordinating digital website content and messaging, including promotion of HHS.gov and use of social media platforms, community management, and campaign tracking.

Leading development and implementation of digital content strategies, policies, standards, and best practices, including strategic planning and enterprise digital governance.

Providing authoritative advice and guidance to senior leaders and stakeholders and represents HHS in communications with internal and external audiences.
