Full Job Description

You will serve as a DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR (SOCIAL MEDIA) within IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated experience leading digital communications strategy for a large organization or senior leadership.

Ability to manage high-visibility messaging in a fast-paced environment. Experience using analytics to inform and adjust communications strategies.

  • You will serve as the principal advisor and lead strategist for the Chief of Naval Operations’ (CNO) digital communications, exercising wide latitude and independent judgment in the development and execution of strategic messaging.
  • You will formulate and implement the overarching strategic digital communication plan for the CNO, ensuring total alignment with the National Defense Strategy, SECWAR and SECNAV priorities.
  • You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating high-level risks, including those posed by misinformation, disinformation, and the accelerating pace of digital discourse in contested environments.
  • You will utilize advanced analytics to inform decision-making and adjust communication strategies in real-time.
